Atomic RC’s AMZ BZ 4WD Build:
With a lot of delays due to the current things happening in Turkey I finally got to do the build of the new BZ belt drive car.
A few things to note are that as a company it looks like RX Atomic listened to customers and enabled easier diff adjustment and also incorporated a lot of extra things to the new car.
The build went ahead and although fiddly like all small cars 1/27th scale it went flawlessly, I was very surprised how easy it was and also it gives a lot of self satisfaction once finished.
Unboxing the kit and parts:
Promotional video of the car:Tips:
Tip 1: Although diffs are pre-built, I stripped and added grease to thrust bearings as there was no grease on them. Also when you install the diffs check the tightness and adjust roughly off the car you can easily adjust them once in the car if you want to.
Tip 2: Maybe I am stupid but I couldn’t find the Bulkheads, they are located in a separate bag SEM-BZ-002.
Upgrades and parts I used on my kit:
OPTION TIE ROD SET (0*, -1*, -2*)
FRP BUMPER & BODY MOUNT (LEXAN BODY)
7.4V 2S LIPO PACK (360MAH 35C DISCHARGE)
AMZ017-5K AMZ BRUSHLESS MOTOR (5000KV)
Unfortunately the body I wanted and servo were not in stock so I bought normal ones for now.
I will fit the following:
AMZ-OP024-MG AMZ HIGH PRECISION METAL GEAR DIGITAL SERVO
I have not had the chance to test the car as of yet but I hope to soon. Also I am hoping to do a fully modified version of the car with all upgrades.
